Guest
What's going on with the shipping modules? All the files seem to be there, but in Admin, only Flat Rate is allowed to be activated / edited. Is that the case, or did I not configure something properly? Of all the choices, I'm most interesting in UPS. Mike....
mattice
you probably have the old shipping modules in the new checkout. Make sure your shippingmodules are in sync with your files (ie new checkout is post 01 november / shipmods should be too) "Politics is the art of preventing people from taking part in affairs which properly concern them"
Guest
I downloaded everything and installed it for the first time yesterday. I don't think my modules would be outdated, would they?
mattice
I don't think the Dev team works that fast :) do you have the right permissions on the modules + directory? Guest
Yes Sir. I set: /admin/includes chmod 755 /catalog/includes chmod 755 /admin/includes/configure.php chmod 644 /catalog/includes/configure.php chmod 644 /catalog/images chmod 777 The /catalog/includes/module directory appears to be set to 755. All that sound right?
mattice
:D Feel like a drill instructor now... Yeah that seems perfect. But what I specifically wanted to know was if you had set correct permissions on the actual shipping module FILES... like table.php, flat.php etc. You do actually see them in the admin but your not allowed to 'switch them on' or edit them right? Guest
Yes Drill Sgt! Sir Yes Sir! :) The entire directory of modules (including shipping folder and its contents) appears to be set to 755. I can see the files inside the shipping directory, such as ups.php, etc. and inside the admin controls, it lists all the choices, but they are all deactivated and when I try to edit them, it doesn't give me anything on the right hand side to do. All it has is the title and white space underneath. Except for two: Flat Rate active and gives me an edit button to turn it on or off and edit the price United States Postal Service Isn't active and doesn't give me any edit buttons or anything, but instead of white space, it says: United States Postal Service You will need to have registered an account with USPS at http://www.uspsprioritymail.com/et_regcert.html to use this module USPS expects you to use pounds as weight measure for your products. drakonan
Hey Cap, you DO know that you have to click on the green light in the middle to turn it on... (Just in case you didn't know) Since it sounds like you've clicked the usps and wanted something at the right to be clickable... Look in the middle for two lights. Press the green light. :P - - - - Sometimes, ignorance is bliss.
Guest
Hey Cap, you DO know that you have to click on the green light in the middle to turn it on... oh...my...god... So does this officially make me the biggest moron to ever post here? I had no idea. I was wondering why everything seemed to work fine except for shipping. Guess shipping is working, too. D'oh! Thanks dragonan! Mike....
