This is my osc/includes/configure.php file

// Define the webserver and path parameters

// * DIR_FS_* = Filesystem directories (local/physical)

// * DIR_WS_* = Webserver directories (virtual/URL)

define('HTTP_SERVER', 'http://miracles.com/osc'); // eg, http://localhost - should not be empty for productive servers

define('HTTPS_SERVER', 'https://webhost.phage.net/~myname'); // eg, https://localhost - should not be empty for productive servers

define('ENABLE_SSL', true); // secure webserver for checkout procedure?

define('HTTP_COOKIE_DOMAIN', 'miracles.com');

define('HTTPS_COOKIE_DOMAIN', 'webhost.phage.net/~myname');

define('HTTP_COOKIE_PATH', '/osc/');

define('HTTPS_COOKIE_PATH', '/osc/');

define('DIR_WS_HTTP_CATALOG', '/');

define('DIR_WS_HTTPS_CATALOG', '/');

---And my osc/admin/includes/configure.php file:

// define our webserver variables

// FS = Filesystem (physical)

// WS = Webserver (virtual)

define('HTTP_SERVER', 'http://miracles.com/osc'); // eg, http://localhost - should not be empty for productive servers

define('HTTP_CATALOG_SERVER', 'http://miracles.com');

define('HTTPS_CATALOG_SERVER', 'https://webhost.phage.net/~myname');

define('ENABLE_SSL_CATALOG', 'true'); // secure webserver for catalog module

define('DIR_FS_DOCUMENT_ROOT', $DOCUMENT_ROOT); // where your pages are located on the server. if $DOCUMENT_ROOT doesnt suit you, replace with your local path. (eg, /usr/local/apache/htdocs)

define('DIR_WS_ADMIN', '/admin/');

define('DIR_FS_ADMIN', DIR_FS_DOCUMENT_ROOT . DIR_WS_ADMIN);

define('DIR_WS_CATALOG', '/osc/');

define('DIR_FS_CATALOG', DIR_FS_DOCUMENT_ROOT . DIR_WS_CATALOG);

define('DIR_WS_IMAGES', 'images/');

define('DIR_WS_ICONS', DIR_WS_IMAGES . 'icons/');

OsCommerce is installed under public_html. My main page (e.g. http://miracles.com) is not the shopping cart. The shopping cart is installed at http://miracles.com/osc.

Anyone...shared SSL...I have a chocolate fish if you can solve it. Have tried for weeks myself.

Is it the cookies, anything???

Still not working. Have searched posts and followed the advice. Someone must know? This is holding everything back so if anyone could be kind enough to spare me a few minutes it would be so appreicated.

I can't even get your website online - it appears that the server is down.

However, this could be your problem:

define('DIR_FS_DOCUMENT_ROOT', $DOCUMENT_ROOT);

That tells me that the install did not go properly, otherwise it would give your full pathway to the root e.g.

define('DIR_FS_DOCUMENT_ROOT', '/public_html/osc/');

Vger

Sorry I have just put the example name in, its not the proper domain name.

(I have been getting strange "customers" join my store which is not even live yet after posting here, so I don't post it now. People joining with emails such as "[email protected]").

Anyway, The install was straight off my CPanel, so aside from what you have noticed with the

define('DIR_FS_DOCUMENT_ROOT', $DOCUMENT_ROOT); I haven't noticed any problems. Should I change it?

Anyway as to the SSL problem I have solved it - after a few weeks!

The problem is that on my site people don't go directly to the shopping cart. They go to the main intro area, and then link to the shopping cart. So when entering

'https://webhost.phage.net/~myname');

It was looking in my root folder area, and of course would not find what it is looking for. I have changed it to

'https://webhost.phage.net/~myname/osc');

Now all works great! I will post this in the tips and tricks area as I am sure there would be others in my boat with the same problem.
