♥valerif Posted February 20, 2008 Posted February 20, 2008 hello this question might sound strange to many of you but they we go i would apprtiate if some one can clarify to me how to read this update note normally a DIFF table is produced: ----------------------------------------------- LEFT and RIGHT columnes. Is the Left the original and the Right the updated one showing the strings to add to the left one? +- does it mean remove the lines from the right column -+ does it mean add strigs to the right column <> can u explain how to read this one too = this is one is clear, no change the problem that confused me is that often there is change in the LEFT and RIGHT columnes, then i do not know how to read this. When the change is only on the right then it is easy thanks
♥geoffreywalton Posted February 20, 2008 Posted February 20, 2008 Easy way is to download the complete file and use winmerge to compare / update the orig file. Then you can see which ones mean insert line, delete line, replace line Is there an application that can present all changes since a certain date instead of having to do it manually using a program like winmerge?
