I don't understand why you advertise as a first thing a customer see in your homepage, you ebay and etsi stores. Do you really want them go away immediately??? ;) I love oscommerce and OS software! ♥Vger Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 You have made the classic mistake that people make with templates and have hardcoded images to http:// links, so that when people go to https pages they get a "Secure/Insecure Content" warning message. If they choose not to show the Insecure Content then almost all of your images disappear. Also, in the header, you have https links down as http links: Login - Register - My Account Vger
bluecoral Posted February 19, 2008 Author Posted February 19, 2008 Thanks for your replies. I also notice that it's taking too long to load. I will try to optimize the graphics. Also the store is getting most of its customers from eBya, and Etsy. My customer wants those links there. I guess that I am having trouble hard coding the images. I tried using the "../../" paths but it didn't work, so I used the complete path. Would you explain how to get it right, or where can I find information about linking images? Thank you again! D.

Me too I think that you can leave those links on the page... but not in this position! They are the first thing I saw on the page. The first thing someone has to see on your page are your products that you are selling in this precise shop. Advertising for your ebay or etsi store can be done in other places. digilee Posted February 20, 2008 Posted February 20, 2008 Advertising for your ebay or etsi store can be done in other places. Having these on the front page is a bit like putting a sticker on your Rolls Royce saying 'my other car is a mini'. SolarFrenzy Solar powered gadgets at down to earth prices. You can place your images in a separate directory under the /catalog/images/ directory, like you've done, and reference them using "/catalog/images/artwork/sexy-purses.jpg" as an example. [you can also use something like this in a php code line; tep_image(DIR_WS_IMAGES . 'artwork/sexy-purses.jpg', 'Sexy Purses')] Otherwise, I really like the site; simple, clean, and the colors are complimentary. Good Job! The GraphicZoo check profile for web address
