Guest Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 Hi all. I came accross osCommerce by accident over the weekend, and am wondering exactly how this all works. I have seen the osCommerce templates site before. I am fairly new to eCommerce, but intend to start a couple of sites over the next few months. What are some of the benefits of using this system over some of the others I have found on the net? (No charge is of course important, but I would like some other input if you have it)
Jack_mcs Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 It's free, works great, allows you full control over the code and is very well supported. I don't think there is another package that can same the same, unless it is one of the forks of oscommerce, of course, but that is just trading on the work of others. ♥geoffreywalton Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 The knowledge base should give you an ibnsight in the way osc works and links together, especially if you have a little coding/computing knowledge. http://www.oscommerce.info/kb/osCommerce/I...on_and_Upgrades Enjoy Need help installing add ons/contributions, cleaning a hacked site or a bespoke development, check my profile Virus Threat Scanner My Contributions Basic install answers.
