Overseas Postage

I am based in New Zealand however I am starting to post overseas to Australia.

What I would like is an option in the checkout process for Shipping overseas as obviously that will be a different rate to NZ rates.

How do I do this?

I don't understand the zones and how they are meant to work because every time I play around with them something doesn't work so ideally I want to avoid using zones altogether.

Thanks in advance

I used the zone shipping. http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=44062

As you can see below,

NZ is first zone

AUS is second

etc.

this was setup to nzpost standards for international shipping. the New Zealand shipping was set to the courier we use

and we use grams not kilos

Thanks for that. I use a flat fee for shipping and would rather keep using the flat fee as normal. Would this be possible?

I think there are ways to do so, but I'm not sure

quite possibly code it so depending on the country it is being sent to, automatically decide which shipping method to offer

I have just created another copy of the flat.php file and this may solve my problem but just need to get the new flat rate option to show up on the checkout shipping page now....

ok got it all working so if anyone else is wanting to do the same thing the easiest way to create another flat.php and rename it to what you need!
