This can be shown either when in administration or when viewing the website as a customer. I have tried to work out what might cause this but it is bizare. If this was a permanent problem then it would it not be there all the time? It only appears every so often..... although it is getting more and more regular and happens alot when adding items. Message: Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Unknown MySQL server host 'my mtsql address' (2) in /home/fhlinux171/s/MY SITE/user/htdocs/catalog/includes/functions/database.php on line 19 Unable to connect to database server! curing-lights-direct Posted February 19, 2008 Author Posted February 19, 2008 Hi There, No one replied but my Hosting company did. They advised changing the web address to the IP address of the mysql database. I have used it lodas since but the bit of work I did on it seemed to have helped! I thought I would post this reply just in case anyone else has the problem..... or if someone thinks its the wrong way to solve the problem they can let me know too!! Martin
