Help with manufacturer description

Hello all, it has been awhile since I have messed around with oscommerce due to time restraints but now I am ready to get working on my site.

 

I have a question and I do apologize if it has been covered elsewhere but I could not find it.

 

Is it possible to add a description (paragraph or two) to each manufacturer. I have about 100 different manufacturers and they are all showing in up in the drop down list but when a user clicks on a category and it brings up the manufacturers that relate to that product I would like to add a description. Thanks.

Hi, I did a quick search in contributions and found a few. One real old one:

Then I found this one, but it is for multilingual shops and sounds complicated (I did not download it myself and look at it, so might not be too bad). It might be what you need:

I also did a google search for manufacturer description and came across Monika of Germany. She helped me a long ways back to fix a few things on my store when I was very green. She charged me for the work, but it was very reasonable.

Anyway, I believe she made a module for manufacturer descriptions for a client at some point, so she may be able to help you with that coding.
