So I want to protect admin using .htaccess so I install it on my server and configure it, thinking all is well. I setup .htaccess in the /admin/ folder and the .htpasswd in /usr/share/ht/ . Now I goto www.myserver.com/admin/index.php and all is well (get prompted for user/pass and I login). .../cartridge/html/admin/.htaccess .../usr/share/ht/.htpasswd I goto www.myserver.com/catalog/default.php and it says document is done (no errors), but the page is just blank. Oh yeah, and now IE prompts me for a username and password for everything (yahoo, google, usatoday, etc...) and it is the login screen for the admin folder. Any thoughts??? Please post, I've been working on this site for two months now and the .htaccess was the last thing before going live and now it looks like it may have been for nothing...(I mean I have backups, but if the server is hosed due to stupid htaccess rpm....) Jeez!!!!
