sharkcart Posted February 17, 2008 Posted February 17, 2008 My web host server has oscommerce ms2 already installed, all I do is switch it on, the only problem is I have installed rc2 over it but it does not work, so I tried different types of installs, still nothing worked. Any body have experience in server install with osc ms2 onboard????. Each time I waited for the dns to propergate and still no web site, I can get to the catalog and admin through the directories no problem but I can't it through my web domain.

Hi Neil, My Web host provider also has the feature to automatically install oscommerce, after installation I realised it was the older version ms2, I didn't try to install rc2 over it, I done a fresh install of rc2 with a new database, I figured it would be the best way to avoid problems of trying to upgrade. Your best bet maybe to delete ms2 catalog and upload rc2 catalog, and start over with a fresh install, Sorry I couldn't be of any real help :( . Darren :) . IF IT AINT BROKE, I CAN FIX IT TILL IT IS!
