I found this contribution when I typed in the contribution search "add about us page":

I have not personally tried it yet, but it sounds good, plus the read me text even gives more contributions to look at if you want.

 

Check it out as I think it will do what you want. I added my about me page so long ago, all I remember is that I basically made a copy of the contact us page naming it about us, changed the wording and such and uploaded that to the website. Then added the link to it in the information box. Something to that effect.
