This was supposed to be better than the old server. Now our shop doesn't work - http://www.christianscott.com/ In advance of the migration I asked if it would work. Now they tell me... "It looks like the version of osCommerce you're running is severely outdated, and incompatible with PHP5 and MySQL5. I strongly suggest you upgrade your installation as it will not only correct the compatibility issue, but will introduce several bug and security fixes." My website has many custom add ons. Can please someone recommend how I best approach this problem. B.rgds, Rodland
Guest Posted February 15, 2008 Posted February 15, 2008 Can you connect to your Admin area? If you can, click Tools and then Server info. Look for ORIG_PATH_TRANSLATED. It is possible your DIR_FS_CATALOG path, which is defined in catalog/includes/configure.php, has changed. Compare your DIR_FS_CATALOG with the ORIG_PATH_TRANSLATED. The ORIG_PATH_TRANSLATED is a bit longer, so you need to ignore "admin/server_info.php/" at the end. If the part before "admin/server_info.php/" doesn't match your DIR_FS_CATALOG, you'll need to edit your catalog/includes/configure.php and change it so it matches the ORIG_PATH_TRANSLATED. Don't forget to erase the "admin/server_info.php/" and make sure the DIR_FS_CATALOG path ends with "//". However, if the DIR_FS_CATALOG and ORIG_PATH_TRANSLATED paths match, you should probably contact your webhost and ask them.

I can get into the front of the admin pages but I can't get into the tools menu as the tools menu doesn't change when I click on it. But I've made a direct link to the server info page. https://www.domain.com/csadmin/server_info.php But I can't find ORIG_PATH_TRANSLATED in the php v5.2.5 page. Christian
