Shopping Cart Delete Box Auto Checked

In my shopping cart, after products are added, the check box to delete each item is automatically checked. I would like to set the default to be unchecked forcing the customer to check the delete box if they truly want to delete an item. Any ideas where that setting is? The issue is, with the box auto checked, whenever a customer updates quantities, it will just delete the item from their shopping cart.
