tell a friend for guest not showing when in left column

I have no idea if this is the right place to post this as this forum is extremely confusing as to where on should post. Additionally the post I do make never seem to get replies and I end up spending hours searching the forum for answers. So if anyone can help me with this one I would greatly appreciate it.

 

Using current v of STS - moved tell a friend to left column and it works when looking at a product but not on the front page or in the product listings

 

I have turned on Allow Guest to send in admin but as I said it's not working can anyone direct me on how to get Tell a Friend for guest to work in the left column.

I think I need to better explain what I want to do;

 

What I would like to do is allow guest - when on the home page or any other non product info page to be able to send an email using tell a friend about the site itself with a link to the site.

 

Is there a way to do this ?
