visitor uploading design

Hi There,

I have a client who would like a clothing website built, where the visitor can upload their own T-Shirt design and preview what they have uploaded, maybe more the graphic itself rather than on the actual T-Shirt.

Being a total newbie to OScommerce is this sort of thing possible and if so any suggestions as to how I might be able to do it?

Many thanks in advance.

Me too...

I'm thinking if the admin pages let you upload and preview things then the code there might give a clue or two. I don't know about the uploading part, but there can't be much to the rest of it really. Just have to store the name of the file they upload and use it on their confirmation page or whatever.

If your thinking along the lines of custom products, you could have them create a new product in a hidden category or something. Maybe even have access limits on it for the particular users who uploaded it, maybe using ther customer_id. Then after they upload their image, it'd be no different from them buying anything else.

osCommerce is GREAT. When it works...

sure it's possible. in fact, there's a contribution called file upload http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/1540 that would allow the customer to upload their logo/image as an attribute to a product. but the preview part would take some custom programming -- by someone who is familiar with the gd library and can take the uploaded image and overlay it on the t-shirt image.
