Changing product options while viewing the cart

I have searched through the contributions and spent some time searching this forum, but I can't find anything that addresses this.

 

Is there a contribution that will allow the customer to change options on an item that is already in their cart? Say for example that they ordered the wrong size of a shirt. They realize this when viewing their cart or at checkout confirmation.

 

With the basic installation of OSC, they can view their cart, and it shows what options they selected for the item, but it doesn't allow them to change those options. The only thing they can do to correct it is remove the item from the cart, then go back to the product's page and add the item to the cart all over again, with the correct options selected.

 

This is cumbersome for the customer, and could possibly cause the customer to give up and leave. It would be great if the customer could view their cart, and if an option is incorrect, they simply click on that and a pop-up menu appears in which they could choose a different option.

 

Then, if a customer had ordered a Medium shirt when they really wanted a Large, they could view their cart, and click on the "Medium," causing a pop-up list to appear with the available sizes, and they could choose "Large" from that menu, and when they let go, it changes the option to Large, and they don't have to remove the item or even update the cart - it's done for them.

 

Is this possible, and if so, is there a contribution that allows this?
