I cannot copy my .htaccess file

Dear expert

 

when I install / transfer oscommerce package file ( catalog )

 

basically,, I cannot transfer the .htaccess file into my directory in server

 

eveytime I try to transfer this file,,, I got this message ( my server is smallbusiness.yahoo.com )

is that a problem if I do not install .htaccess file?
