Digital delivery/downloads

hi a bit new to all this so here goes, can i list a product for sale as a digital delivery? so when the customer has paid via paypal they either get a email link to download from my server or the file is sent to them via email att.

 

i installed download controller over the catalog folder on my server and i seemed to of lost the payment/shipping modules so i had to do a fresh install and lost all my products within the mysql database.(silly me i didnt backup) :'(

 

i also have free downloads for my customers but i supposed just putting a hyperlink in the text to the file on my server is good enough for now

 

any help would be great

Without download controller you take the regular file, edit it with product attributes and add some new option called download with all the download files. Then put a file name that is also in the downloads folder under catalog/download

 

Then under configuration with the download section, set enable download to true.
