Hi,

I installed oscommerce from cpanel and had to select a directory name store, is it possible to make this the default startup page, ie show the store when domain name is accessed ?

Thanks in advance for all of your suggestions.

If you have just installed OSC, delete everything and get the latest from the blue solutions tab at the top.

If this is too hard, look at the store in root contribution that is available from the contributions area.

Otherwise you needs redirects and it is so unnecessary.

Is would be a lot easier to include the url ? Does it come with documentation ?

The blue solutions tab at the top of this page, then downloads. But, if that is too hard, the url is .

So am I, just downloaded the zip, and all of the files were there.

So, what did you use to extract the files?

You just need to left click om the link for the file to download.

I got the zip off of another page ! Uploading Catalog folder now. Being that its RC 2a, when will the final release be out ?

Does RC 2a require a lot of patches ?

Thanks

Hi,

I am getting a problem completing the installation, due to inability to connect to db server.

There was a problem connecting to the database server. The following error had occured:

Access denied for user 'jojoallr'@'localhost' (using password: YES)

Please verify the connection parameters and try again.

I dunno what to try next, ive recreated the db serveral times now.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

if you know your username and password are correct, you may need to find the ip address your sql is at and use it instead of localhost. But your username does not look right. Usually they start with a prefex that matchs your sites name IE: mysite_jojoallr
