Timeshare with OsCommerce

I am having a problem using OsCommerce to make a timeshare webpage.

 

For starters, timeshares can be sold for amounts up to $20,000, perhaps even more. Do I have put those prices for everyone to see on a timeshare? Can services like Chronopay even take that much from a credit card? Forgive my ignorance, but a credit-card phobic like me doesn't know these things.

 

Then there is another problem: not everyone buys timeshares, some people rent them. Do I need to program an extra module for people who rent timeshares?

 

Or should I use something other than OsCommerce for something like this? Every timeshare web page I have seen does not use OsCommerce. However there are timeshare templates out there, so not all is lost.

osCommerce is probably unsuitable for this project. You will only run into problem after problem.

Have a hunt for a "bookings" piece of software - I suspect you will have to pay for it.

It is possible to do it all by hand. Add the resorts by hand. Little by little, I may be able to create my own bookings software. Not an easy task. Then again, turning OsCommerce into a bookings script won't be easy either.

The software you linked to would probably be a better fit for what you need.
