Categories and attributes

this is my first post and i'm new to osc and just geting started. i spent several hours browsing the forums before posting. i am trying to start an online vinyl/cd record store.

 

i would like to change the template database that came with my siteground account and create categories and attributes similar to this webpage:

i figured out how change the main categories by using cPanel X which comes with my siteground acount but how do i add subcategories if desired?

 

also, and most important, i'd like to be able to add "artist", "title" and "label" and have them be text input but also have "condition" with attributes such as M, VG+, VG etc..

You can add subcategories using the standard osC admin area, simply click the Catalog box then click the folder icon on the left of the main catagory then the "new category" button

 

To add extra fields such as "artist" you need a contrib installing such as "product extra field" (http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/2202)
