ELnew Posted February 11, 2008 Posted February 11, 2008 Just wondering....usually what type of descriptions do ya'll use when utlilizing the header tags controller...when your working inside the catalog folders. for example..... for "Men" *my first category folder* I have "Header Tags Category Title" Men "Header Tags Category Description" All Mens Products "Header Tags Category Keywords" mens leather, mens apparel, accessories *basic description, and the two sub-category names directly inside "Men" "Header Tags Categories Description" Mens categories Just wondering is this the correct / effective way to do this? Thanks for any and all help :D ~Parker
ELnew Posted February 13, 2008 Author Posted February 13, 2008 Actually, I'm not worried about the categories anymore, merely what people use as a good header tag for products, I have over 300 products, and don't want to go through and do it over again, so any help would help :] thanks.
Guest Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 Use keywords and descriptions that best describe your category and/or product but also make sure that if someone entered that info into a SE that when they find your site the information on your site would be relevant to them. Such as if someone typed in "mens clothing" and your site was there would that page be relevant to them, if your site category sells mens clothing then it might be, but if they were looking for men's business clothing then your site or that category might not be as relevant. Also what about the word accessories, is that relevant to the category or to anyone searching for kitchen accessories???
