Installation with Cpanel - Fantastico Problems

Hi everyone,

 

I hate my first posts on Forums to be a begging letter but im looking for some help.

 

Im trying to set up my first little shop and used the online configurator in Cpanel the Fantastico bit and all seemed to go smoothly then trying to visit the links:

 

 

http://ddr400design.co.uk/shop/ or the admin section it give me the following error:

 

Server Requirement Error: register_globals is disabled in your PHP configuration. This can be enabled in your php.ini configuration file or in the .htaccess file in your catalog directory.

 

 

Does anyone know how to sort this or had the same problem? I have a feeling this is a very noobish question!

first point fantastico normally installs a really old version of osc so it might be worthwhile to install a later version.

 

Search the contributions there is one for this problem or google

Thanks for your help, being totally new to PHP and CSS files im learning as I go. I managed to work out how to change the values of register_globals in the root stylesheet on my Cpanel accoutn and it has fixed the problem.

 

I now have another and im going to search for a solution but if i cant ill create a new post. it I have managed to use a template form this site and all seems to be working fine, but i am getting errors on tell a friend and when trying to set up and account. IE ignoes the problem and Firefox throughs up this error: error code - 12263 I under stand this has somthing to do with the SSL but cant work out how to correct it. If you know it woudl be a help i have a feeling i might have to put up another post!
