Paypal Taking money, but order not showing in OSC

Im using the bog standard paypal module that comes with OSC, I added the return path in paypal, as many people were paying, then not clicking "return to merchant" so, paypal had an amount of money from a customer, but I had no idea what the order was. SO adding the return path adds - "you are now being redirected to client website" etc etc, but it seems people are closing this window before they get returned to the site where it says, "thank you for your purchase".

Anyone know what I can do to either make paypal instantly jump back to the site, so they have no time to close the window, OR, get paypal to log what the order was.

Thanks

I'm not an expert by any means but I would say if you went into the customers account in Administration you should be able to see the orders there.

I think the Paypal IPN contribution takes care of that problem - has drawbacks as well, however.

The problem is, because they areny being passed back from paypal, the admin isnt recording an order, only paypal.

If I recall correctly, IPN records the order when the customer leaves to go to paypal, so if they back out it looks like an order but isn't - I guess if it was me, I'd rather have to check payment for every order that comes in that having to chase down people that did order to find out what they wanted.

IPN will take care of Your order worries.
