Help Configuring

Hi,

I am wanting to offer a Shopping Cart option with my web design packges. Fortunately, my Hosts have an 'Auto Install' of OSCommerce and I have installed it quite easily, so that the 'standard' sample Shop appears under my directory at http://www.html-web-design.com.au/cart (I want to customise a Shopping Cart that I can display in place of this)... and also set up Carts (in a 'basic fashion') before I unleash the unknowing with their own Websites & Shopping Carts to change and update themselves as required...

I have had a look through the 'admin' area and I don't seem to be able to figure out where and how I change the products and their details, insert images etc. I want to 'build' a 'Sample' Shop to display to prospective clients, but I am unfortunately a bit shy on knowledge about DB's and such (I have been setting up PHPBB forums for some time and have no problem, so I understand the basic concepts). I just need to know WHERE to go to change the various 'Product' options etc.

Can someone give me an idea of just where to go in my 'Admin' to add products, descriptions, prices, insert images etc - and delete same...

Any help will be appreciated, as I've not set up any kind of shopping cart before (In other words... Please talk to me as if I am a 5 year old... )

To add new products you go to the admin section of your website.

There in the control panel got to Catalog, contents. This is where you add categories and products. You have osCommerce installed so there are already example products and categories. You can add and delete to your hearts content.

Sorry but I don't have time to give you a complete walk through. I suggest you read the support documentation.

Regards,

Anil.

Thanks Anil... I've had a bit of a look through the 'Support Docs' but am having a little trouble with the 'lingo'. But, I have plenty of time, so i'll go through it in detail and see if I can make head or tail of it...

Thanks again...
