Want to send email to customers after succesful checkout

Hi,

 

I wish to my shop to send an email to the buyer once they have completed the payment.

 

Do I add something to catalogs/checkout_success.php and catalogs/includes/language/english/checkout_sucess?

 

and if yes what??

 

I wish the email also to include the download link.

 

I tried to add some code from checkout_ process.php dealing with the emailing (to both files checkout-sucess files) - but nothing happened i.e no email.

Can this be the result that may orders are all stuck on pending even though they are being processed by paypal sandbox?

Hiya,

To a certain degree it depends on which version of OSC you are using, where the send mail conformation info is from.

if you are using a merchant like PayPal then check the files in the payment modules, as the info could be from there.

PayPal IPN has the code to send out success mails, even tho it is still in order_info etc..

Try there, otherwise a contribution i saw earlier could be for you, try searching for e mails in the contributions, or addons as they ar enow called.
