changing size of oscommerce?

Hi, I changed the Body tag in stylesheet.css to change the size of oscommerce. It worked but now there is a huge space on the right. Is there a different way I should use to change the size?

Update: I added

 

padding: 15px 0px 0px 15%;

 

to the Body tag in stylesheet.css, that seemed to have centered the screen.
