Customer comments box

Is there a way to add a 'Customer Comments' box to the left side panel. It would give customers a way to comment on items not working, a product they would like to see etc. It would be an open box that while logged into the site you could add comments. It would also have to be able to be filed in the admin panel to be read later. Any suggestions?

You could encourage people to use your Contact Us form, which can double as a Feedback area :)
