i'v heard some rumours about the next version of oscommerce

hi guys, i'v heard in the next version that oscommerce will be using the bts for templates... is this true? will contributions still be compatible to version 2.2?

 

also i heard that oscommerce has major security issues compared to other version based on the oscommerce vanilla version. can anyone clarify please?

oh no i dont mean to be offensive.... it was stated on of the hundred or so websites/fourms i'v been sifting through the last couple of days... i think oscmax forum under oscommerce may be one....but i remember seeing it a couple of times on different sites for both queries so i thought i would ask just incase its a: false or b: something to work around... that is all
