I wanted to know what a datafeed was?

Also if my oscommerce store can provide a datafeed?

I suppose you mean some sort of contents publishing. You will find an introduction here: http://www.mnot.net/rss/tutorial/

 

Basically, you need to export (part of) your catalog in an XML format.
