charlie27 Posted February 6, 2008 Posted February 6, 2008 Gosh, I would love some help. I am not too sure what is going on I am receiving orders on my website, I know, as I am receiving an email from paypal to confirm payment has been received but when I check my site it shows that NO orders have been placed. I am not too sure what is going on, up until a few days ago all was fine, but something has happened (I am not too sure what) PLEASE HELP..
allaboutwicker Posted February 6, 2008 Posted February 6, 2008 Hi, I think you should check into this at your account on Paypal. You should come onto the My Account screen when you log in. If not go there. Go to Profile, then Website Payment Preferences in the last column. On that screen there is a place to click to turn On Auto Return, then place your return URL in as something like: http://your website name.com/checkout_success.php Hope that does it for you. Otherwise, I would suggest the Paypal IPN contribution which actually puts the order into your admin prior to sending it to Paypal. I use this one now and have found some definite advantages. The customer can go through the checkout and make up an order or I also have master password set up, so I can go into a customer's account and make up the order and since we have custom items, I can then go into the pre-order and change it via my order edit contrib. It also comes in handy just to do test orders and see how they come through at least up to that point. They only draw back is that if a customer goes to the point where they get to the confirmation screen, but do not complete the order with paypal, the order will have to be manually deleted by you in admin. Anyway, hope some of this helps! Post back if you need.
