sessions lost between login and account history info using email link

When you purchase an item through the shop it will send an email confirmation of the purchase. In that email there is a link back to the site and the order history page.

 

When you click on the link it takes you back to log in screen as you would expect. But once you type in the user name and password it just keeps on redirecting back to the login page.

 

I have checked the sessions between the login.php and account_history_info.php and the sessions seem to disapear on be invalid whe it jumps from page to page.

 

The strane thing is, that it all works fine i you click my account first, login and the click on the order history. Is this a bug with oscommerce or am I missing something here.
