bning Posted February 5, 2008 Posted February 5, 2008 I'm having a little trouble setting up International Postage rates with oscommerce. I'm based in the UK and have installed a contribution to deal with postage within the UK. Now I'm looking at International delivery. Using the 'Zone Rates' module that comes with oscommerce I set up three zones. The EU, North America and Australia/New Zealand. However, I need to charge VAT on the EU delivery but not the other two but there is only one global drop down selector for all three choices (Tax Class). Is there a contribution that lets you set tax rules for each class? Thanks for any help, Ben.
bning Posted February 5, 2008 Author Posted February 5, 2008 Hmmm... well I duplicated the zone.php and the enteries in the configuration table so I could setup another 'zone rate' module for the eu so I could set a tax class for eu countries. It worked... However then I noticed some of the countries weren't getting tax charged to the P&P... some were.. some weren't. Then it finally dawned on me. Only the countries setup in with a 'Tax Zone' in the locations/taxes section were getting vat charged! So this was entirely unneccessary and it would appear oscommerce was already sorting it. :(
