For All newbs having basic install problems

I was looking for free website builder and downloaded the following product vodahost. Whilst on their site downloading free stuff i saw link to oscommerce had a look and they do have 19 walkthrough videos to watch very good explination. It has helped me alot i now have test store working correctly with downloadable products and IPN with paypal working correctly well chuffed.

I just hope someone uses it. There sure have been a lot of repeat post here lately. Stuff thats been addressed hundreds of times. Some stuff that just takes a simple search of the contributions section. Then some stuff that takes searching the forums, I know theyre a pain to search, but the info is in here if one would just dig. What gives with all the buttheads lately? Some of them make you not even want to give anyone advise, espeacily the ones who keep bumping their post every 45 minutes hoping to get an answer to something thats already answered a hundred fold. And what ever happened to a little gratitiude to the coders that have got on here hundreds of times to share their knowledge? People dont have to take time to answer, and you dont have to get a better shopping cart becuase they do.

Come on people, read the forum rules and look at the other sections of this site. It is HUGE and filled with info. If you want all the answers thrown at your feet, then let go of your wallet. :P

I am a newbie and my site has been live for 3 1/2 days. I am completely overwhelmed with the knowledge I need just to understand the things I have to do. Link after link, programing, abreviations etc. Today is the first time I've been able to access the forum and search for help, but it comes in the same tech jargon. I have watched some of the 19 vids at Vodahost but more questions...download index.php file...from where? I need understandable instructions in laymens terms that I can follow. I don't care if it takes a month to setup. Today I am a little frazzled so please forgive. There was no indication of how complex this can be.

Not everyone has time to go through all this information looking for answers, and I'll bet at one time you were new to all this, too. Have patience.
