Which version of OS is recommended to use?

Hi,

 

I'm a little confused as to which OSC version is recommended to be used in a live shop?

 

Is MS2 still the most stable and therefore recommended, or is the latest RC2 the better to use?

I see that Fantastico on my webhosting is still using 2.2 MS2 (060817).

 

I'm starting my shop from scratch, so I don't really have any contrib "restrictions" (yet lol), but will be needing to install a few, so I guess contrib compatibility is needed.

In my opinion RC2a .. however it has to be said that if you can't code (a bit) the contributions available may be a struggle as they will need to be done line by line (virtually all contribs are for MS2.2).

 

If you feel safer with MS2.2 then I would suggest getting MS2.2 up and running then apply the contribs you want .. then apply the RC1 - RC2 - RC2a upgrades.
