dfora001 Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 I have noticed on other web sites a small option that allows users to increase or decrease the font size on the page. I pretty sure its done through javascript/ DHTML but I have no clue how I would apply it to the entire site or just to the content (everything but the menu's). If someone knows how or knows a contribution that will work I would be most thankful. Thanks
Guest Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 You can aontrol all of your font sizes in your stylesheet.css. OSC has all of their fonts set to a fixed size. I set mine to a percentage. This lets the users browser take control over font settings. Check out this article. It explains alot about font settings. http://www.netmechanic.com/news/vol5/design_no13.htm
jbehen Posted February 5, 2008 Posted February 5, 2008 Also, most modern browsers have the ability to increase/decrease font size for a page. In Firefox, go to View->Text Size->Increase/Decrease In Internet Explorer, its View->Text Size, then select the size you would like. IE only offers 5 options.

Yes those options are ther, but if you have a fixed pixel setting then the font size does not change. You still need to unfreeze the font size so the browser can increase/decrease it.
