If thats not what you wantt to hear then I would sujest you read these 2 topics. first one is on the RC1 release and the second one is one the RC2 release. Pay close attention to the post made by the members Vger,Monika,syscon, and anyone with project leader or team member tags. Sorry if I missed any of the other code writers that help us through this. I just looked at the first few pages for names.

Well from what i gather i will have to download and hand edit a boat load of files to get it up to rc1 then do the same again to get it to rc2 wow that stinks. It would be great if there was an automated way to do this maybe lines that need to be changed can be changed only with some scripting or somthing it would be a valuable asset to the community. If anyone has any ideas to make this less painful PLEASe let me know.

Test it out. You can figure the rest out on your own.

Hmm that looks promising but i use linux. Is there a gui based diff tool that does what beyond compare 2 does.

I use something called diffmerge on OSX. There's a Linux version. http://www.sourcegear.com/diffmerge/downloads.html
