Different colors for right and left column

I tried that before i asked here, but couldn't find an answer. I need boxes in left column to be red for example and boxes in right column to be blue so actually i'd like to aply different styles to left and right column boxes. I'd really appreciate if someone can help.

All boxes are made through the boxes.php class. They ALL get the infoBox class from stylesheet.css attached. In order to break this you can do several things:

 

- rewrite the boxes class (Linda is working on that)

- alter the actual boxes so they do not get called through boxes.php but are a plain html table

- change the stylesheet so boxes are transparent and add a background color to the columns
