Guest Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 Hello, I have my OSC shop set up to use HTML emails for the email system and newsletter system, this works fine until I put the content into a table. The only main issue with using the table is that osc seems to automatically add about 7-8 <br>'s to the top of the email which makes it look a bit amature and it defeats the object of using tables to make a professinal looking newsletter. Does anybody know the solution to this. Jim
♥Vger Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 The answer is that it automatically adds line breaks when you hit the Return key on your keyboard, so don't add <br> tags as well. Vger
Guest Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 Ok, there aren't any spaces at the top of the page... although that has sort of answered one of my annoyances with it... where I will do a <br> followed by hitting return for good coding practice... Allthough I do have a load of information at the top of the page... i.e. for setting the margin width to 0 and tables etc... Im guessing I need to remove any instances of new lines within that code for it to appear as it should do in the email client. Will have a little play around Many thanks Jim
Guest Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 I have just tested this without any spaces between the html... even though its bad coding practice it works perfectly, Many thanks Jim
