skaville50 Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 I'm using the Paypal website payment standard module and it seems i'm having a common problem. Orders aren't going through to OSCommerce, because customers aren't hitting the "continue" button on the paypal site to go back to my website. Is there a contribution for Paypal website payment standard, so this doesn't happen like there are for the paypal IPN version? Quote

If not go there. Go to Profile, then Website Payment Preferences in the last column. On that screen there is a place to click to turn On Auto Return, then place your return Url in as something like: http://your website name.com/checkout_success.php Post back if you need more help! I have the same problem of orders not being recorded. I'm using Website Payment Standard. I've turned on the "Auto Return" option on PayPal, it does return the customer to my website after payment being made, it does tell the customer the order is confirmed, and sends out order confirmation email to the customer. But no order is being recorded on the database, thus, no order information. I've noticed in my control panel, under "Reports", "Customer Orders - Total", the order appears there, I can see the "customers name" & the "purchased total", but when I click to see the order, it display no order. And under my Admin page, (shown below), I can see there is an order under "Preparing [PayPal Standard]: 2", when I click on it, on order shown. Please Help. Any idea???? Quote

First of all, take time to read entirely this message to understand what you have to do. It seems to be long but it's very sample. Working on OS Commerce imposes a comeback to shop on "catalog/process.php" in order to send mail so as to add in database the order. And it's here that the problem appears: This comeback is not automatic and even if it will be modified at the Paypal account level (preferences/reception payments preferences on website: automatic returns on), the feedback doesn't work if your client do not use a Paypal account to pay. If he wants to pay with a credit card, Paypal show a link to comeback and he ha to do this step himself.Unfortunately, many people shutdown after there payments without doing this. As a result, you have neither mail nor order in the administration part. You just have a mail from Paypal to inform you about the payment of the order. But you haven't got the details of the order. So what the client wants? What have you sold? How to manage this in your administration part? Many solutions still exist but they add charts in the base and so on... At the end, we have orders that can not be managed through the classical administration. I would check that out and see if it helps you! Quote
skaville50 Posted February 15, 2008 Author Posted February 15, 2008 Yeah, i tried that contribution and it didn't work. My customer's orders still aren't appearing on the OSCommerce ORDER section... I've tried that contribution and putting the "auto-return" feature on in the paypal site... There has to be some solution! Quote
