Hey,

After one month of fiddling with this I give up trying to set this up. Anyone for hire to help me setup a working site? Probably takes you 10 minutes to make it work.

Please give me a price and email me at athwyna@zinko.net

Thanks

Athwyna you sound a little disappointed .........

I saw you trying to install it under ..../home/athwyna/www/sports/

Did you try to install it under ..../home/athwyna/www/ ?

or check admin/includes/configure.php and catalog/includes/configure.php and verify that paths point to the right folder.

bye

If you go that way, let me know. I get a referral credit.

Is this really necessary? We don't need this to become a board of people trying to convince others to buy something so they can get "a referral credit" (otherwise known as SPAM).

I really dont see how its a bad thing. Why would *I* not promote a service I use and am an affiliate of to others that I think it might be helpful to. The fact someone might earn a small cut of any money payed isnt any concern. Tho, the fact that they pointed in a good direction should be good enough. If the site is helpful, its worth the kick back, if not, he won't get it for sure.

Its true however, we dont want the site to become 'come use my service' spammed. But do you want to feel you can't post a helpful site and ask for credit for the referral if such a system is in place? Isn't that what showing appreciation is all about???

If one person does it, then others will follow.

We really want to avoid having 30+ postings in this thread that only contain advertising. A perfect place for this is www.webhostingtalk.com.

Seeing as the forum rules were agreed to I don't understand why advertising is still occuring.

Please, if you need to reply with your offers then do it privately otherwise you will find yourself locked out of the forums for breaking the forum rules.
