Hi,

If I send emails from my shop, they never get there and if anyone sends them to me via the 'contact us' feature I never get them.

Can anyone help? I didn't set up the shop, a friend did it for me.

Many thanks,

G

1st make sure your e-mail server settings are correct and working before you suspect OSC not working.

Hi,

Sorry, I am very new to this. Can you explain what you mean by this?

Is there an idiots guide to the OSC store? I think I really need it

I'm having trouble with Paypal payments too :'(

Thanks for your help and patience.

well there's no idiot's guide but everyone should be familiar with the docs!

are you using a dedicated e-mail server? Is it a web-based e-mail client?

make some simple (send and receive) test's outside of your shopping cart

and if that's turns out to be good then send and receive some e-mails through OSC

you know narrow it down and find exactly where the problem lies!

if PayPal is having trouble with your e-mail address the problem could be related..

In email options I have:

E-Mail Transport Method sendmail

E-Mail Linefeeds LF

Use MIME HTML When Sending Emails false

Verify E-Mail Addresses Through DNS false

Send E-Mails true

So I think it is set up to send emails. I don't receive any though either :-(

Cheers,

Ask your web host if they have disabled the sending of emails from your domain.
