Install problem on Win2K3 system

Recommended Posts

My setup, all running on one server:

Microsoft Server 2003 R2 (SP2)

IIS 6

PHP 5.2.5

MySQL 5.1.22

oscommerce-2.2rc2

The first install page shows everything with a green check-mark. I get all they way to the end, where it says it is finished. WHen I select the Admin tool or catalog, I get the following error:

1046 - No database selected

select configuration_key as cfgKey, configuration_value as cfgValue from configuration

[TEP STOP]

I also noticed the install did not touch the database (still blank after the install). I did manually run the oscommerce.sql, that filled in the database, but made no change in the error when I select the Admin Tools or Catalog.

I have checked configure.php in both locations, and they appear to be correct, below is a copy with the ip and username/password changed.

<?php

define('HTTP_SERVER', 'http://192.168.1.100');

define('HTTP_CATALOG_SERVER', 'http://192.168.1.100');

define('HTTPS_CATALOG_SERVER', 'http://192.168.1.100');

define('ENABLE_SSL_CATALOG', 'false');

define('DIR_FS_DOCUMENT_ROOT', 'C:/Inetpub/wwwroot/');

define('DIR_WS_ADMIN', '/admin/');

define('DIR_FS_ADMIN', 'C:/Inetpub/wwwroot/admin/');

define('DIR_WS_CATALOG', '/');

define('DIR_FS_CATALOG', 'C:/Inetpub/wwwroot/');

define('DIR_WS_IMAGES', 'images/');

define('DIR_WS_ICONS', DIR_WS_IMAGES . 'icons/');

define('DIR_WS_CATALOG_IMAGES', DIR_WS_CATALOG . 'images/');

define('DIR_WS_INCLUDES', 'includes/');

define('DIR_WS_BOXES', DIR_WS_INCLUDES . 'boxes/');

define('DIR_WS_FUNCTIONS', DIR_WS_INCLUDES . 'functions/');

define('DIR_FS_CATALOG_IMAGES', DIR_FS_CATALOG . 'images/');

define('DIR_FS_CATALOG_MODULES', DIR_FS_CATALOG . 'includes/modules/');

define('DIR_FS_BACKUP', DIR_FS_ADMIN . 'backups/');

define('DB_SERVER', '192.168.1.100');

define('DB_SERVER_USERNAME', 'user');

define('DB_SERVER_PASSWORD', 'password');

define('DB_DATABASE', 'database');

define('USE_PCONNECT', 'false');

define('STORE_SESSIONS', 'mysql');

?>

Please advise.

Thanks

I was able to get it working. I had some missing MySQL settings in the php.ini file. The install still didn't put anything in the database, but i was able to run the oscommerce.sql manually.
