I have just completed installation successfully but cannot seem to access my admin panel.

I type in my url/catalog/admin and nothing happens - I get a blank page

Any ideas please ?

First, check your admin/includes/configure.php Make sure the information there is correct. It should match the catalog/includes/configure.php for the most part. If your store opens but not admin, use the store's version as a guide.

Thank you for your reply, to the best of my knowledge everything looks fine, these are what I believe to be the relevant entries

define ('DIR_FS_DOCUMENT_ROOT', '/hsphere/local/home/intrepid/URL/catalog/');

define('DIR_WS_ADMIN', '/catalog/admin/');

define('DIR_FS_ADMIN', '/hsphere/local/home/intrepid/URL/catalog/admin/');

define('DIR_WS_CATALOG', '/catalog/');

define('DIR_FS_CATALOG', '/hsphere/local/home/intrepid/URL/catalog/');

define('DIR_FS_ADMIN', '/hsphere/local/home/intrepid/URL/catalog/admin/');

does this look correct ?

then in the catalog/includes/configure.php file

define('DIR_WS_HTTP_CATALOG', '/catalog/');

define('DIR_WS_HTTPS_CATALOG', '/catalog/');

define('DIR_FS_CATALOG', '/hsphere/local/home/intrepid/URL/catalog/');

any other ideas ?

access level 644 on both files

thanks again for your help

Looks ok to me. Try it, if it does not work, then post back.

No luck still coming up blank, is there any other file that the error could be in ?

Hi I found an old entry in the forum answered by Vger and it said

"read the '$this in uploads.php' link below my name."

It seemed to fix the problem for two different people.

I cannot find the uploads.php file - is this a file on my server?

and if it is do you understand exactly what must be done ?

thanks

Ciara

Hi,

Just to let you know I finally found the error, it was a missing ' on the last line of the admin config.php file.

thanks for your replies
