Probably the best place to start your learning curve is in the knowledgebase. It contains articles on all sorts of things.

But to answer your question the place to alter most of the text on the screen is in ....

/includes/languages/english.php and the files in /includes/languages/english/ and admin/includes/languages/english.php and the files in admin/includes/languages/english/

How do i edit information in osCommerce? I`m currently in a learning process...

You have a backup of your site files on your computer.

You open the file you want to edit in a text editor (it has to be a text editor - plenty of free to use ones on the web).

You ftp the changed file back to the correct place on your web space (use an ftp program such as filezilla).

You keep a backup of everything before you change anything.

What is it you want to change? The wording, format?

If you can let us know, you can be guided.

If its the text, you need to opena different file.

I only need to change a the text...

Ok. You need to open the file called conditions.php in the folder \includes\languages\english (or change english to your language if different)

If it doesn't have any text already inserted then it should look like the below:

<?php
/*
$Id: conditions.php,v 1.4 2002/11/19 01:48:08 dgw_ Exp $

define('NAVBAR_TITLE', 'Conditions of Use');
define('HEADING_TITLE', 'Conditions of Use');

define('TEXT_INFORMATION', 'Put here your Conditions of Use information.');
?>
