wizardsandwars Posted December 7, 2002 Posted December 7, 2002 Hey guys. I've used the phpBB contrib that sets up iframes on my oscommerce site, and puts the phpbb forum in the middle. However, I'd like to put a link that will allow the user to click and open a new window that will have my header, but not the columns. The forum with iframes is at http://www.wizardsandwars.com/board.php The link without the left and right colums is at I've tried to add a regular <a href> link, but it only opens a new window inside the fram (which is kinda funny). Any help would be greatly appreciated. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- NOTE: As of Oct 2006, I'm not as active in this forum as I used to be, but I still work with osC quite a bit. If you have a question about any of my posts here, your best bet is to contact me though either Email or PM in my profile, and I'll be happy to help.
wizardsandwars Posted December 7, 2002 Author Posted December 7, 2002 Opps, that big red x should be http://www.wizardsandwars.com/board_no_columns.php[/url] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- NOTE: As of Oct 2006, I'm not as active in this forum as I used to be, but I still work with osC quite a bit. burt Posted December 7, 2002 Posted December 7, 2002 <a href="wherever" target="_blank" title="Open in a New Window"> HTH
wizardsandwars Posted December 7, 2002 Author Posted December 7, 2002 Hi Burt, I tried that, but since the link resides inside the frames, it only opens a new window inside the frames. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- NOTE: As of Oct 2006, I'm not as active in this forum as I used to be, but I still work with osC quite a bit. burt Posted December 7, 2002 Posted December 7, 2002 The target="_blank" is the important bit. You've definately tried that and it didn't work? Can I see where?
wizardsandwars Posted December 7, 2002 Author Posted December 7, 2002 Uh, no, I was wrong. I had put in a target, but I names it the same as the iframe. The one you just game me works great. I put it in the menu at the top of the forum. Thanks a bunch, man. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- NOTE: As of Oct 2006, I'm not as active in this forum as I used to be, but I still work with osC quite a bit.
