Guest
i did not say that ... but i read somewhere that ms2.2 is good... and it is compatible with all addons You did say most of them... actually all of them. OK, I have patched my site to be RC1, and my over 100 addons continue to work. True, care will be be required when editing the files, but that will always be the case. You may be confusing RC1 with V3 (which is not yet released).
♥toyicebear
The problem some newbees are apparently having is that on most of the contributions you can not just simply use the drop over replacement files from the contributions packages... (paste and replace installs usually requires earlier versions of osc to work correctly) As a side note most contributions also work with RC1, but that is provided you do the install manually by editing the individual files. Good deal Nick! That is the type of information people need to know. Whenever I added to or updated my version I edited the files manually instead of replacing (multiple contributions wouldn't allow that anyway) files. There has been different rumors going on about why the contributions would not work, such as - register_globals "on" or "off". I'm sure that I was not alone in being fearful of making the upgrade to RC1 and losing my edits/contributions. So that lead me to believe I had two options, either start fresh with RC1 and hope adding all the contributions again would work or editing/patching my older version. Which actually I'm still not sure would be the quicker way to go. But thanks for clearing the hype about the contributions not working as newbies to osC certainly would be unclear on. - :: Jim :: - - My Toolbox ~ Adobe Web Bundle, XAMPP & WinMerge | Install ~ osC v2.3.3.4 -
