Testing Database Connection hangs

Recommended Posts

I am trying to setup OS Commerce on a Windows server and after I enter the database credentials it just hangs at the "Testing Database Connection" portion. I verified the mySQL database info is correct. I even deleted and re-created the database just to make sure. I also set the permissions to Full Control on the Install folder and configure.php file.

Any ideas what is happening? Thanks.

Are you hosting your own windows server? if you do i can help to setup step by step everything I run my own windows 2003 server. e-mail me at [email protected] and i will help you out. Because if you setup the windows server, php & mysql correct you should not have problem making or running any php program.

I am not hosting the webserver. I can FTP the files and make security changes as needed. I also have some flexibility with other parameters. However, I have contacted the web host and they assured me that they have other customers running OS Commerce sites on their Windows web servers without any problems.
