Jack_mcs
There's a contribution, oscommerce patches - I think, that has all of the changed files. Or you can go to sourceforge.net and download from there. Guest
thanks allot man can u guys like advise me on which contributions are the best or top , or how can i put as much i can of contributions without making them getting in the way with each other How much work have you done in your site? If the answer is very little, you would be better off installing the version of osc (blue solutions tab at top of page then downloads). The OsCommerce 2.2ms2-060817 patch has some annoying bugs in it.

jhande
The OsCommerce 2.2ms2-060817 patch has some annoying bugs in it. I downloaded that version from here awhile back and I'm still adding contributions and editing code to it before going live. What types of annoying bugs are we talking about? :o - :: Jim :: - - My Toolbox ~ Adobe Web Bundle, XAMPP & WinMerge | Install ~ osC v2.3.3.4 -

What types of annoying bugs are we talking about? :o I don't have the bugs because I fixed them. I suspect that you have too. I have also run the patches for RC1. The bugs, not being able to install/update modules in admin is one. The one about the country title is another. One more, but can't think of it. The point is, why install the old version and have to do the patches?

I only remember doing a couple of updates along the way, not exactly sure what fixes they were for now. <_< The main reason I haven't attempted to switch over to RC1 is do to the different contributions and hacking I have already added to my version. Although my site looks fairly vanilla I have made some changes especially on the admin side. I don't have much time to spend working on the site and would hate to spend another year getting nowhere again. Guess I should just start from scratch, find the time and try all the edits until it breaks. - :: Jim :: - - My Toolbox ~ Adobe Web Bundle, XAMPP & WinMerge | Install ~ osC v2.3.3.4 -

Just need to be extra carefull doing the edits. In the end I comared the diff file to RC1 files and my preRC1 files. It is time consuming, but if youu concentrate on one bugfix at a time, it does get finished. As always, backup, and then backup again.
gfather
well mostly im using the old version becouse of the contrebutions support , if the same contrebutions for ms2 can run on the rc1 , i would be verry happy to use the rc1 , like if its only security issues and stuff

Did you do the bugfixes to the 2.2ms2-060817 files that were incorporated in the new RC1 files? Or did you add your contributions and edits to the RC1 files? Sorry for my confussion... :( I'm trying to get a handle on the best way to attack my predicament. - :: Jim :: - - My Toolbox ~ Adobe Web Bundle, XAMPP & WinMerge | Install ~ osC v2.3.3.4 -

Several bugs appeared. Fixed the bugs. Installed even more contributions. Did the RC1 update as given in the upgrade.html. This lists the updates as a number of bugfixes. All of my previously installed contributions still work.

Thank you so much for the explaination Leslie. I'll assume the so called bug list/fixes for version 2.2ms2-060817 is included with the RC1 download? - :: Jim :: - - My Toolbox ~ Adobe Web Bundle, XAMPP & WinMerge | Install ~ osC v2.3.3.4 -
Guest
Thank you so much for the explaination Leslie. I'll assume the so called bug list/fixes for version 2.2ms2-060817 is included with the RC1 download? They are not listed as bugfixes to 060817. I really did not check them all when doing the upgrade, just noticed the magic quotes bug fix was a little different to what was in the forum (or what I thought I read). Once you have done the RC1 ugrade, you do not have an RC1 store. What you have is version 2.2ms2-patched to RC1.

Patched to RC1 is just fine with me, gee it could be called 2.2ms2-WhatTheHeck as long as it works. Many TNX again... - :: Jim :: - - My Toolbox ~ Adobe Web Bundle, XAMPP & WinMerge | Install ~ osC v2.3.3.4 -
