Quick Search and Advanced Search don't work

Hello,

 

I have got a lot of articles in our shop system. The system works very well but "Quick Search" and "Advanced Search" don't work. That means that they don't find any article although suitable articles are in the database.

 

Where is the mistake?

there's no difference if I choose English or German + Search word ....

Are your products in categories? The search function checks the products_to_categories table and won't return any results if they are not categorized.

 

Just a thought.

The products_to_categories table contains all products AND their categories ....

Did you do any modifications of the search function or the advanced_search.php and/or advanced_search_result.php files? I tried it out and it doesn't find anything, even a search for a letter like 'a' gets nothing.

No, I didn't change anything; only the style-tags in /includes/application_top.php

 

Nothing else.

Log into your Catalog Admin and click on Configuration

check your Default Search Operator

if it has and as default then change it to or

 

let us know if this helps any!

what version do you have installed? almost ever one in here has 2.2 installed now!
